soprano, alto flute & live electronics Set to the poetry of Stephen Boon. Commissioned by the 2017 Bangor Music Festival and premiered by Juliet Fraser, Richard Craig and Gareth Olubunmi Hughes.

(One night's nightingale)
a cycle of four songs for bass-baritone voice with piano accompaniment #1: Eos un noson (One night's nightingale);
#2: Rhagoloygon y llongau (Shipping forecast);
#3: Mynd am dro (Going for a walk);
#4: Philomela.
Set to the Welsh-language poetry of Llŷr Gwyn Lewis from the series Storm ar Wyneb yr Haul (A Storm on the Face of the Sun). Winner of the main composers' medal (‘Tlws y Cerddor’) at the 2016 Welsh National Eisteddfod in Monmouthshire.
2013–16 Eternal Owl Call Kingma System bass flute & live electronics The work is inspired by the Celtic mythological fable of Blodeuwedd (The Flower Maiden) and was composed for virtuoso avant-garde flautist Carla Rees and the rarescale Contemporary Music Ensemble.

Set to a concrete poem by Stephen Boon. Part-performed in a workshop with the Exaudi vocal ensemble at Cardiff University in 2013.

(The Butterfly and the Nightingale)
alto flute & pianoforte Winner of a prize to compose a new work for an amateur-level woodwind player and piano at the 2015 Welsh National Eisteddfod in Montgomeryshire.
2009–14 Urban Wilderness string quartet #1: Apathetic Machines
#2: Utopian Mirror
Inspired by Fritz Lang's classic urban technological dystopian movie Metropolis (1927). Performed by the Carducci string quartet in a series of workshops at Cardiff University.

(The Wind's Lament)
recomposed for flute & harp #1: Llwydnos Gwynfannus (Restless Twilight);
#2: Galargan: “Dagrau ddaw...” (Elegy: “Tears come...”);
#3: Breuddwyd (Dream).
Inspired by a well known Welsh-language poem by Sir John Morris-Jones. Winner of the main composers' medal (‘Tlws y Cerddor’) at the 2012 Welsh National Eisteddfod in the Vale of Glamorgan.
2011–12 Ynys Afallon (Isle of Avalon) SATB choir & pianoforte Set to a translation of a Welsh-language poem by T. Gwynn Jones, which depicts the death of King Arthur, the Celtic mythological figurehead. There is also an English-language translation. Performed by the Exaudi vocal ensemble and Gareth Olubunmi Hughes in a workshop at Cardiff University in 2012.

Recomposed and expanded from the 2009 song setting of John Morris-Jones's poem, Cwyn y Gwynt.

clarinet, vibraphone & cello Performed by the Lontano Contemporary Music Ensemble in a workshop at Cardiff University in 2010.
