The Ceremony at the 2012 Welsh National Eisteddfod, where Hughes was awarded the main composers' medal ('Tlws y Cerddor') for Cwyn y Gwynt (The Wind's Lament), his three-movement sonata for flute & harp.
The competition was adjudicated by composer Dr Richard Elfyn Jones and professional harpist Deian Rowlands.
